We condemn the attempted annexation of Crimea and, together with our partners, we put pressure on Moscow to fulfill its international obligations and withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine”, – Sergio Costa, Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament.

Sergio Costa, the Vice-Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Italy, assured that the Italian Parliament will always stand by Ukraine and will advocate for the territory to return to internationally recognized borders. He condemns the attempted annexation of Crimea and, together with his partners, pressures Moscow to fulfill its international obligations and withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine. Sergio Costas said that they have the UN resolution of 2023, which states that Russia constantly violates the rights of the Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian peoples. For this, the Russian Federation uses terrible methods: they kidnap children, indoctrinate schoolchildren in schools.

The same can be said about the violation of the agreement on the supply of Ukrainian grain to world countries, because it caused a significant increase in food prices. Cooperation with the International Criminal Court is very important for Italy, because those who committed the crime must appear before the court and be convicted. This was also discussed in October 2023 in Rome.
