The occupiers conducted illegal searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars and detained several activists
This morning, in the occupied Staryi Krym, Feodosia district, representatives of the so-called “сenter e” illegally searched the houses of activists Lenur Yakubov, Izet Sayfulin, Idris Yurdamov and Shevket Kiyamov from Zhuravki village.
Activists of the Crimean Solidarity reported that at 7:40 a.m., after the search was over, representatives of the so-called “сenter e” took Idris Yurdamov to a mosque in Staryi Krym, where occupation law enforcement officers conducted a search at 7:45 a.m. Mr. Idris was later released. Representatives of the so-called “center e” also took away Izet Sayfulin. Activist Lenur Yakubov was taken by the occupiers to an unknown destination. After the search, activist Shevket Kiyamov is at his home.
Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov was not allowed to enter the occupation police station. “I am standing at the entrance to the police building. At the entrance, the duty officer cannot reach someone, whether they are here or not – no one says”, – the lawyer told the Crimean Solidarity correspondent.
The head of the independent Muslim community, Idris Yurdamov, spoke in more detail about the dialogue with the Russian “police”: “Today my house was searched. The accusations they are making are the so-called missionary activities. I do not agree with them. We have an imam elected by the people. People are completely satisfied with him, he meets all the requirements of Islam and there were no problems with the Juma prayers. Now these “comrades from the authorities” have decided that they have the right to interfere. We were informed that the mosque had been registered under the RAMC for two weeks without our consent. No one was aware of this – neither community members nor residents of the city. And now they said that no one has the right to conduct prayers except the imam-appointee. They said that he would come to Juma prayers tomorrow with the “police” and that the new imam would be guarded. No one has the right to impose without the permission of the people who live here.”
Imam of the independent Muslim community “Eski Kirim” – Izet Saifullin was released from the occupation police department. An administrative report was drawn up against him under the so-called Article 5.26 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
“The documents stated that on January 19, someone was in our mosque, stood in our ranks, and recorded that I had performed Juma prayers. Accordingly, in their version, I carried out illegal missionary activities,” Izet Sayfullin said.
The materials of Lenur Yakubov’s “administrative case” were transferred to the occupational “court”. The “сenter е” drew up a protocol under the so-called Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. Later, a “court hearing” was held. The occupation “court” sentenced Lenur to 14 days of arrest without confiscation of the phone.
Later, it became known about the detention of the Crimean Solidarity correspondent Ali Seitablaev.
