The occupiers illegally transferred the Akhtemov brothers to prisons in minusinsk and vladymyr
The occupiers illegally transferred political prisoners Aziz and Asan Akhtemov to prisons in russia, located in minusinsk and vladymyr. Earlier, the occupation “court” in Crimea sentenced two Crimean Tatars to 13 and 15 years in prison. According to the wives of the political prisoners, as of today, the Akhtemov brothers are in transit in pre-trial detention centers in the territory of the russian federation, on their way to their final destinations.
Aziz Akhtemov was able to contact his family through “zonatelecom”. In his letter, the activist said that he was temporarily in a pre-trial detention center in cheliabinsk, and that he was being taken to a prison in minusinsk. The political prisoner also complained about the cold and poor conditions of illegal detention, as in October it had already snowed in cheliabinsk, and the temperature dropped below zero.
Asan Akhtemov was transferred to a prison in the vladymyr region, unofficially known as the “vladymyr central”. For more than three weeks, the family of the political prisoner has been unable to contact him and has no information about his location.
Asan Akhtemov’s wife said that she tried to find out whether her husband had reached vladymyr, but they refused to provide her with information by phone, demanding an official request in the form of a letter. When asked how long it takes to get from Crimea to vladymyr, the political prisoner’s wife was told that this process can take up to three months.
As a reminder, Crimean Tatar activists Aziz and Asan Akhtemov, as well as the First Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Nariman Dzhelial, were illegally detained by the occupation administration of Crimea on September 3 and 4, 2021, on trumped-up charges of allegedly blowing up a gas pipeline in the Perevalne village. It is important to note that Mr. Nariman was illegally detained after participating in the Inaugural Summit of the Crimea Platform, immediately upon his return to Crimea.
Also, on October 2 this year, Dzhelial, as well as the Akhtemov brothers, were illegally transferred from SIZO-2 in Simferopol to prisons in russia.
