During the plenary session of the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform Wong Chen, the Chairman of the Select Committee for International Relations and Trade of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malaysia, expressed support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognised borders.
Wong Chen noted that the Malaysian Parliament remains concerned by humanitarian crisis and human rights violations in Crimea.
Mr Chen called on all international actors to remain resolute in upholding the fundamental principles of international law.
The Chairman of the Select Committee for International Relations and Trade of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malaysia drew attention to four principles that must be respected, including the right to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly in Crimea without fear of discrimination and retaliation.
Wong Chen concluded his speech with an assurance that Malaysia will always uphold the territorial integrity of all countries’ internationally recognised borders.
