President of Romania Nicușor Dan

The truth is that Russia at this very moment is not seeking peace. So we have to strengthen our efforts in order to bring them to the negotiation table. 

President of Romania Nicușor Dan said that Romania’s position has remained unchanged since the beginning of the war, including since Russia’s occupation of Crimea.

“We stand for Ukraine. We’ll support Ukraine,” Nicușor Dan said.

He noted that Romania is participating in the Carpathian initiative launched by Ukraine together with the countries of the Carpathian region.

He also stressed the need to strengthen economic sanctions against Russia and maintain unity in supporting Ukraine.

“I’m sure that this war will end with the peace that the Ukrainian people deserve,” the President of Romania Nicușor Dan said.
