The Third Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform

The Third Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform

To raise awareness and support from the international community for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, the Third Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform will take place in Riga on October 24, bringing delegations from all over the world to the capital of Latvia. Delegations from more than 30 countries will participate in the Summit. Participants will focus on highlighting the global impact of Russia’s aggression and continuing to spread the truth about Russian crimes at the international level. The Summit will include a series of events in support of Ukraine, including human rights discussions, the screening of the documentary “The True History of Crimea,” and more.

The Crimea Platform, initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is an international consultation and coordination instrument aimed at the de-occupation of the Crimean Peninsula. The Crimea Platform reminds us that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began with the occupation of Crimea 10 years ago, and only with the de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea can the war be concluded.

The parliamentary dimension of the Platform aims to raise awareness among world leaders and the broader public about the Russian occupation of Crimea, human rights violations, the security situation in the Black Sea region, global food security, and the rules-based international order.

Previous Parliamentary Summits of the Crimea Platform were held in Zagreb and Prague, bringing together parliamentarians from various countries and international parliamentary organizations.Stay updated by visiting the official Summit website: crimea-platform-riga.lv
