Discussion of the Book Qırım inciri. Küreş with the Founder of the Qırım inciri Contest, Alim Aliiev, to Be Held at NaUKMA
On January 29 at 6:00 PM, the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA) will host a meeting with Alim Aliiev, the founder of the literary contest Crimean Fig / Qırım inciri and co-editor of the eponymous anthologies. The event will provide an excellent opportunity for attendees to participate in a discussion of the fourth anthology, Qırım inciri. Küreş, to deepen their understanding of the cultural and socio-political phenomena related to Crimea and the Crimean Tatars.
Maksym Yakovliev, the Director of the School of Political Analytics at NaUKMA and the Head of the Department of International Relations at the university, will moderate the discussion. Participants will have the chance to learn about the anthology’s creation process and its cultural and political significance and to pose questions to Alim Aliiev.
The Crimean Fig / Qırım inciri project is a unique Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar literary initiative aimed at promoting the Crimean Tatar language and literature and highlighting the themes of Crimea and the Crimean Tatars in Ukrainian literary discourse. Each year, anthologies are published based on the results of the eponymous literary contest, with the latest edition released in 2023.
