Permanent Representative Meets with the Deputy Governor of Eskişehir During Working Visit

As part of a working visit, Permanent Representative Olha Kuryshko held a meeting with the Deputy Governor of the city of Eskişehir, Adem Keleş. During the meeting, the parties discussed the situation in temporarily occupied Crimea and the current state of the Crimean Tatar people.

Olha Kuryshko emphasised that Eskişehir is home to the largest Crimean Tatar community in Türkiye, which plays an important role in preserving national identity and providing consistent support for the liberation of Crimea and for all political prisoners held by the Russian Federation. The Permanent Representative expressed her gratitude to the leadership of Eskişehir for its continued support of the Crimean Tatar community.

Special attention was given to prospects for further engagement and support for initiatives to protect human rights, develop educational and cultural projects, and strengthen international advocacy for the de-occupation of the Crimean Peninsula. The Permanent Representative thanked the leadership of Eskişehir for its sustained support for the Crimean Tatar community and noted that Ukraine relies on this support to continue.
