Participants of Crimea Global Joined the Grain from Ukraine Food Security Conference
The Third International Grain from Ukraine Food Security Conference took place in Kyiv, serving as an important platform for addressing global challenges in food security and combating hunger. Participants of the international conference Crimea Global: Understanding Ukraine through the South also joined the event.
Journalists from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Senegal, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Guinea, Chad, Kenya, and Brazil attended the conference. Among them were participants from Crimea Global who actively engaged in discussions on global issues. Notable attendees included Brian Oruta, Senior Digital Reporter for The Star from Kenya, and Fernanda Magnotta, Coordinator of the International Relations Program at FAAP, Senior Research Fellow at CEBRI, Global Expert at the Wilson Center, and CNN Brazil Analyst from Brazil. The Permanent Representative Tamila Tasheva also participated in the conference.
President Zelenskyy emphasized that despite the challenges posed by war and blockades, Ukraine remains a reliable partner in ensuring global food security. He also outlined plans to open additional embassies in African countries, establish grain hubs, and facilitate technology exchange with nations in need of not only food but also knowledge and innovation.
“We do not aim to simply supply food products. We want to share technologies, processing capabilities, our expertise in land cultivation, and exchange experiences with other countries,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.
