“Ukraine has restored the Black Sea as a secure artery crucial for global food stability. The absence of agricultural exports could lead to the food price crisis and social chaos, posing a threat to dozens of different nations” – Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine.

“Ukraine has restored the Black Sea as a secure artery crucial for global food stability. The absence of agricultural exports could lead to the food price crisis and social chaos, posing a threat to dozens of different nations” – Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine.

During the Second Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that global food stability hinges on the situation in the Black Sea, making it important that Ukraine managed to establish food exports, despite the challenging conditions posed by Russian aggression.

“At first, working together with the UN and Turkey, we were capable of launching the Black Sea Grain Initiative. Later, we introduced the humanitarian initiative “Grain from Ukraine,” the President of Ukraine said. “And when Russia decided to disrupt this food security architecture, we established new temporary export routes from our seaports… Since the launch of the new export corridor in the Black Sea, almost 50 vessels have entered the Black Sea for loading, with over fifty more scheduled to arrive,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy added.
