“We all want to see Ukraine defended and restored, but for that we must remain determined in our assistance” – Gordan Jandroković

During the plenary session of the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform, Gordan Jandroković, the Speaker of the Croatian National Assembly, drew attention to the fact that some international actors are trying to take advantage of the Russian invasion by resorting to the most dreadful methods.

The Speaker of the Croatian Sabor stressed that Putin’s plan is “to divert international focus from Ukraine”, and instability in the Balkans also plays in his favour.

Mr Jandroković called on states to make every effort not to fall into any traps set by the aggressor.

He noted that, despite all the difficulties and international challenges, the international community should not listen to the calls of populists who are encouraging to cease assistance to Ukraine.

Parliamentarians, sincere friends of Ukraine, must be steadfast in providing support for Ukraine’s fight.
