During his speech at the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform, Vice-President of the European Parliament  Roberts Zile reiterated the European Parliament’s unwavering support for President Zelensky’s Peace Formula: “We firmly stand for Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders”.

Roberts Zile noted that, despite the high price of victory, if Ukraine loses, it will have catastrophic consequences not only for the European Union, but also for the entire world. The Russian Federation must be aware that the world knows the name of each illegally detained journalist, political prisoner, and anyone who is pro-Ukrainian and held in illegally occupied Crimea.

The speaker emphasized Ukraine’s significant progress in its fulfillment of the agreement with the European Union. In addition, he stated that the Ukraine Facility regulation, which will operate between 2024 and 2027, has been proposed to support Ukraine in overcoming the challenges related to post-war recovery and reconstruction.
