“You are not alone in this fight for a free and democratic Ukraine” – Tanja Fajon, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia

During the third Crimea Platform Summit, Tanja Fajon, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, expressed the country’s unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within internationally recognized borders. “We firmly condemn Russia’s strive to forcibly change the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine” – she said.

She also shared her concerns about the human rights violations in the Crimean Peninsula and the illegally occupied territories. The Minister called for the immediate release of political prisoners and civilian hostages detained in Crimea.

Tanja Fajon also called on all countries to become parties to the Ljubljana-The Hague Convention as soon as possible to investigate and prosecute the most serious crimes.
