“You represent the counties that didn’t leave us alone with the aggressor, supported, and continue to support Ukraine in the struggle for our freedom” Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk delivered the speech at the opening ceremony of the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform in Prague.

First of all, Ruslan Stefanchuk expressed sincere gratitude to the host side – the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament, the President of the Senate of the Parliament, the President, and the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, and to the entire Czech people, for the comprehensive assistance that the Czech Republic has been providing to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine thanked all the Summit participants for their support of Ukraine.

On his and Marketa Pekarova Adamova’s behalf, Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked the Knesset of the State of Israel and its Chairman for the letter they received from high-ranking representatives of the Parliamentary who could not come to Prague but requested to consider them as Summit participants.

“The world’s response to the occupation of Crimea and Donbas was weak and insufficient to deter the Kremlin regime from further aggressive steps. International conflict prevention and resolution mechanisms did not work, and that’s why the aggressor moved on to the next phase. It is only up to us to determine whether the next phase of this aggression will occur,” addressed the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Summit participants.
