The Fourth Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform will take place on 24 November in Stockholm, Sweden.
There, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, together with the Speaker of the Swedish Parliament, Andreas Norlén, will host the heads of national parliaments and interparliamentary organizations.
This year’s Parliamentary Summit aims to highlight the consequences of Russia’s occupation of Crimea, reinforce the policy of non-recognition, and increase pressure on Russia to end its aggression and the occupation of Crimea. Among other issues, the Summit will address sanctions, human rights, security, as well as the economic and environmental consequences of Russian aggression.
Ukraine values the fact that international partners have consistently supported the Crimea Platform and its Parliamentary Summits for the fourth consecutive year. The support of each country once again demonstrates that the issue of Crimea’s de-occupation remains on the global agenda.
