The Third Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform Will Be Attended by Delegations From Approximately 40 Countries

The Third Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform will be held in Riga, Latvia’s capital, on October 24, 2024. Delegations from about 40 countries will attend the event. 

The Summit’s primary goal is strengthening international support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. In addition, the global consequences of Russian aggression and international efforts to bring the aggressor to justice for its crimes will be emphasized.

The Summit is expected to be attended by representatives of the parliaments of the following countries: Albania, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Malta, Moldova, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, the United States, Türkiye, Hungary, Finland, France, Croatia, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden. Most of the delegations will be represented at the highest parliamentary level by the heads of parliaments.

In addition to parliamentary delegations, the Summit will be attended by international organizations, including representatives of the European Parliament, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and the OSCE.

The event’s program includes plenary sessions and a number of additional initiatives in support of Ukraine. In particular, there will be panel discussions on human rights, a screening of the documentary The True Story of Crimea, and other events dedicated to current topics related to the de-occupation of Crimea and support for Ukraine.
